Hello, I am India Amara Nicholls

I am one of those humans whose quest for what is Real and True; is one of unquenchable thirst, innocent enthusiasm and wild curiosity.

I joke (but it’s true) that I live in the deep end.

Self evolution, transformation, revelation, self inquiry, asking the big questions and seeking Balance are major drivers in my lived experience.

Yoga and Nature have brought me closer to what I am looking for and in the same breath, closer to myself than anything else I have yet to encounter.

I practice and teach Tantric Hatha Yoga, which is a fancy way of saying a very traditional, lineage based modality and methodology of Yoga. I am studying in the school of Parayoga and The Himalayan Institute, under Yoga Rupa and Padit Rajmani Taigunat respectively.

I have over 1000 hours of training from different teachers and trainings. My devotion to being a student is lifelong. The magic of learning however is that teaching is the best way of learning.

Why do I have all of these questions and want to learn so much?

Because I want to be the best version of myself. I want to thrive, be inspired, and love without limitations. I want to live in the Flow, have a deep sense of self trust, courage and radiance. I want to have a clear intuition, real discernment, feel energized and resonate in harmony with the world we live in, in its highest form and potential.

I want know myself so wholly that I do not waver, so that I am steady, so that can always find balance in the endless waves of this human experience. I want to be a beacon of light and transformation.

Ultimately I want to be the best version of me, so that I can live a fulfilling life, one that is so full, that is overflows with love, compassion and generosity, that my life is one of divine service.

My practice is multifaceted.

I practice traditional Hatha Yoga, with asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), kriya (meditation) and mantra (sound).
When I teach, I share full practices like this.

This yoga prioritizes energy balancing and harmonizing. It’s more about how you feel than the length of your hamstrings. The question here is: Do you want to be flexible, or do you want to be free?

I want to be free.

This practice is designed to reveal your true nature, which is brilliance, vibrant and authentic. It is designed to support you, in whatever stage or season you are moving through, so that you may be confident, nourished, patient, caring, courageous, consistent and fulfilled.

So that You may truly know, peace, joy and abundance.

I am an artist - through which I constantly discover new ways of translating as well as understanding life itself. I share different creative processes to activate and stimulate your creative mind to access new pathways, ignite new inspiration and reveal what is already there.

I use movement and music as a form of combined medicine, for strength, mobility and body+mind+spirit connection. Moving the body with beats and harmonies helps us access the deepest parts of our hearts. A practice of vitality, energy, flushing, shedding, unfurling, revealing and acceptance.

Life as Ceremony.
I create and hold space for intimate gathering.
I curate experiences for You to experience You.
I make time for honesty, sharing, authenticity, vulnerability, courage, tears, laughter, grief,  celebration and absolute acceptance.

Every particle of you, is welcome.

With radical and radiant respect and gratitude,
I hope to share time and space with you.

If you have any questions, please reach out.

Always,

India
